On 17 June the sun shone on Whitegate as an eclectic mix of bands and singers gathered on Church Green for our very first Music Festival.  With everything from sea shanties and spirituals, to handbells and ukeleles, there was an enormous wealth of local talent to entertain us.  After dancing on Church Green thirsts were quenched with beer and Pimms and hungers sated with delicious burgers from the barbeque followed by strawberries and cream. Old acquaintances were renewed and new friends were made as we were entertained until the sun began to fade.
