Rogation Service and Celebration
Join us for an outdoor service on the Village Green at 9.30am. Rogationtide comes from the Latin rogare, 'to ask'. During this simple service we ask for God's blessing on our community and the agriculture, livestock and crops that sustain us all. If the weather is poor the service will be held in church.
The Rogation service will be followed by coffee in The Mews and then a celebration BBQ brunch on the Whitehead Field behind church. This is to thank all the helpers who have worked so hard on the field to transform it into the wonderful area it is now. There will be a BBQ with bacon baps, sausage baps and burgers, scones and drinks including Prosecco. There will also be a chance to explore the area and find out all that has been done there.
We look forward to bringing church members and volunteers together, celebrating all that has been achieved and thanking all those who have helped. There will be a donations bowl for those attending who haven't helped with the Whitehead Field project.
